American Renal Associates Opens a New Facility in Woodville, Texas

BEVERLY, MA - American Renal Associates Inc. (“ARA”) today announced the opening of the Woodville Dialysis Center, a new outpatient facility located in Woodville, Texas. The facility is now admitting patients after passing all regulatory requirements without any deficiencies. This is the 3rd de novo facility opened by ARA in 2007 and is ARA’s 3rd facility in the State of Texas.

When asked about this new facility, Syed Kamal, President and Co-Founder of ARA stated, “We are thrilled to open this brand new state of the art facility for the community of Woodville and the surrounding areas. This will greatly enhance the access and the convenience for many dialysis patients who currently have to travel far for their care three times a week.”

Patients in the Woodville community typically travel a good distance for their dialysis care. ARA and the facility’s Medical Director, Jose Lozano M.D., wanted to open a more logistically convenient facility that also sets a new standard for catering to patient comfort, as well as high quality patient care. Some of the amenities include individual flat screen satellite TV’s for each patient station, heated and massage dialysis chairs, Sirius Satellite Radio and individually controlled lighting. The facility also has wireless internet access for patients with wireless laptops and a DVD player is available.

ARA’s focuses on developing new start-up (de novo) treatment facilities in partnership with physicians and also acquires existing dialysis units in selective strategic markets. The company opened 10 facilities in 2006 and expects to continue its strong growth throughout 2007 and beyond.
