American Renal Associates Acquires a New Facility in St. Louis, Missouri

BEVERLY, MA - American Renal Associates Inc. (“ARA”) announced the acquisition of Metro St. Louis Dialysis-Florissant LLC, an outpatient facility located in St. Louis, MO. This is the 1st facility acquired by ARA in 2007 and is ARA’s first facility in the State of Missouri.

When asked about the acquisition, Joseph Carlucci, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of ARA stated, “We are absolutely delighted to partner with Dr. Dara. He is one of the most caring physicians whom I have known. We are also happy to enter this new state for ARA - the great State of Missouri.

The acquisition creates a partnership between ARA and Bhajan S. Dara, M.D., the facility’s Medical Director. The facility has been open in the St. Louis area since June 2003 and has steadily grown and become a major dialysis treatment facility in the community. The facility currently treats 68 Hemodialysis patients and six (6) Peritoneal Dialysis patients, and it maintains 16 Hemodialysis stations.

ARA’s focuses on developing new start-up (de novo) treatment facilities in partnership with physicians and also acquires existing dialysis units in selective strategic markets. The company opened 10 facilities in 2006 and expects to continue its strong growth throughout 2007 and beyond.
