American Renal Opens Start-up Facilities in Pa. and RI

DANVERS, MA— American Renal Associates Inc. (“ARA”) announced the addition of two new outpatient dialysis facilities to its network of centers under its ownership and management. New start-up facilities, located in Cranston, R.I. and New Castle, Pa., recently opened and received Medicare certification.

The newly opened facilities are ARA’s fifth facility in Rhode Island and fourth in Pennsylvania. Both facilities offer hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services using state-of-the-art equipment. Each facility is able to accommodate more than 100 patients.

ARA’s main focus is to open new start-up (de novo) treatment facilities in partnership with physicians and to acquire existing dialysis units in selective strategic markets.
