Corporate Manager of Social Work
General Summary: ARA believes that the Social well being of patient’s dialyzing at its facilities are a central and important function. This position provides training and support to ARA clinic Social Workers. This function acts as a liaison to the various ARA Social Workers. This function provides training and support to clinic Social Workers in the following areas; Patient referral process, ARA Patient Admission Process, ARA education programs for Pre-ESRD and ESRD patients and the various assistance programs that the patients qualify for, and, assists in developing resources to meet patient needs.
Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work, current or eligible for state licensure, if applicable. Must be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide training and support in the Patient Referral Process.
- Provide training and support in the Central Registration Department Patient Admission Process.
- Provide training and support to Social Workers in the programs available for patients to obtain financial assistance and medical insurance coverage, AKF program, transportation, travel, home health care, and assists in developing and/or improving facility and community resources to meet patient needs.
- Assist in the development of Pre-ESRD social work services and programs.
- Train and assist in the delivery and monitoring of Pre-ESRD social work services and programs.
- Provide training and support to Social Workers to maintain records in accordance with facility policy and ESRD regulations, including complete Progress Notes at least quarterly and a review of social workers notes/charts periodically.
- Provide training and support to social workers in the TQM process and attend monthly meetings as necessary.
- Keep abreast of research/literature/developments in nephrology social work and attend appropriate organization meetings and conferences, share information with clinic social workers as appropriate.
- Interfaces with multiple federal, state and local agencies as needed to improve and secure resources for patients.
- Participate with the clinic managers and the regional management in the clinic social worker hiring process.
- Work closely with the Central Registration Department to improve communication between the clinic Social Workers and Admission Coordinators.
Admissions Coordinator
Duties consist of extensive telephone work which includes insurance verification, setting up patient accounts in billing system, working with field staff to obtain admission paperwork for billing and resolve issues. Candidate must be self motivated, have excellent organizational skills, be detail oriented, and able to work in a fast paced environment. Extensive problem solving skills are a key element for this position. Experience in a healthcare setting is helpful, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate. Bachelors Degree preferred
Charge Entry/Data Entry Clerk
You will be responsible for verifying and keying medical data for multiple clinics located around the U.S. In addition you will be balancing monthly charges and reconciling medical reports. The right candidate will possess good keyboarding skills as well as having basic knowledge of personal computers. Strong verbal communication skills and a commitment to superior customer service are required.
