AMERICAN RENAL ASSOCIATES TO OPEN 5 DENVER-AREA FACILITIES IN JULY 2008

(Beverly, MA) – American Renal Associates, a leading nationwide owner and operator of outpatient kidney dialysis facilities, announced today that it is constructing five new sites in the Greater Denver area. The facilities are scheduled to open in July.

The new sites will serve patients throughout the greater Denver area with convenient locations in Arvada, Lafayette, Lakewood, Longmont, and Westminster. The facilities are part of American Renal Associates’ expansion across the U.S. Over the next year, ARA will add an additional 15 clinics to the 70 currently operating in 15 states and the District of Columbia.

“Our unique model allows doctors to focus on their patients, so that they can continue to provide the highest quality care possible,” said Joseph Carlucci ARA’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our team invests in recruiting, training and retaining the highest quality staff, building locations that have the most up to date equipment and technology and offering unprecedented amenities to create a comfortable environment for patients. As a result, doctors from across the country are partnering with us and patients are choosing our services.”

American Renal Associates puts a premium on creating a positive working environment for staff, ensuring appropriate patient-to-staff ratios and building training programs that focus caregivers on providing the best experience for patients.  A recent staff survey by American Renal Associates found that the majority of its staff has had a long-standing history with the company. The report demonstrated that 88 percent of employees find their work load manageable, 91 percent enjoy going to work each day and 98 percent feel that they have the training needed to do their job.

ARA also ensures that its patients receive the best possible care. Nearly 100 percent of patients cared for at ARA facilities say that they feel safe and comfortable at ARA clinics, that they are treated with dignity and respect, and that facilities exceed the highest standards for cleanliness.

“We believe that physicians should have a choice of providers of renal and dialysis services for their patients,” said Richard Cronin, M.D., National Medical Director for ARA.  “Our hope is that physicians and patients in Colorado will recognize that our focus on providing the highest quality patient care in a comfortable environment creates superior outcomes for patients.”

Additional information on services, available staff positions and opening dates will be available on the ARA website in the next few weeks. ARA provides a positive staff environment with competitive pay and benefits. For example, ARA exceeds current salaries for experienced staff, matches PTO accruals by recognizing previous dialysis experience, possesses zero caps on salaries and offers sign-on bonuses.
